The Haze
I see it being coughed out by a blaze
Creeping through the air silently
Then comes forth the haze
Strangling the lion city mercilessly
Now there's nothing to see, but a maze
The noxious cloud, it flows and seeps
Into every street and home
A nightmare, where none can wake from their sleep
Old and young alike, all just cough and groan
But the worst has passed, it seems it may
As the people cheer and celebrate
The wind blows the dust away
But we all know in our hearts, no progress have we made
Like a painful memory, the haze will return another day.
