Off to College MAG
Staring out a large window
The sun shimmers on her face
A smile shows she’s happy
But the feeling is out of place
Photos lined her bedroom wall
She glanced at every one
A moment captured in a frame
Of crazy times and fun
She has to leave it all behind
To make it on her own
Off to a university
So far away from home
About her last four years of life
Each day had no regrets
School memories so bold and clear
How could she ever forget?
But what about the plans and friends
They all had made somehow
Would everyone still be the same
When they meet ten years from now?
So she stared right out that window
And she thought and thought some more
Until a thought popped into her mind
Making seconds seem like more
Don’t be sad because it’s over
Feel it and let it go
Each moment is a part of you
You’ll take wherever you go
