Blood Oil
“Blood Oil,” by Tori Bakeley, talks about the plight of orangutans in Borneo. The article shows the gruesome truth about palm oil and how rainforests get cut down for their palm fruits. Orangutans are getting destroyed in the process and they are slowly diminishing. After reading this article, I feel bad because I do use some palm oil products and it will affect me every time I pick up a granola bar or eat some popcorn. I will think back to the orangutans and hope that they are still surviving.
