Road Trip
It was August 25th when Sam, Tony, Alexander, and Tim decided to go on a cross country road trip from the tip of Maine to California.
They had been best friends since the 8th grade. To go across the country, it would be 1500 miles. The miles were divided by the four of them. Tony was not the best driver in the world, but he could manage.
They had packed that night. The boys got on the bus at 6:15 am and drove off Alexander was the first to drive 375 miles. There had been a problem. The bus was slowing down minute by minute they pulled over, and there it was a nail inside the front tire. Alexander and the boys had no clue what to do, but luckily the bus came with an emergency kit and directions, and Sam lifted the bus with a type of pump and replaced the tire.
Tony, Sam, and Tim were passed out in the back, Tim had chips all over his chest, and Sam fell had fallen asleep on the ground with Skinny Pop all over him so did Tony. They had hit roadkill; the bus went airborne. "What the heck was that?" Tony said, rubbing his head. They had run over a squirrel.
Alexander's turn driving was over. It was now Tony. Toyn was a tall guy with a big beer gut, unlike Alexander, who was somewhat short but very muscular. Tony would have to drive through Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois the next morning.
The next day came. They were on the road nice and early they had stopped at a little cafe to get some breakfast on route 95. They also got some Takis, Doritos, and some drinks for the rest of the ride.
Tony was already getting sick of driving. There was so much traffic, and Tony could not sit for a long time, so Alexander took over for 30 minutes or so.
Alexander checked maps on his phone traffic. Would not end until exit 68B that was 50 miles away they were moving inch by inch every hour it was torture.
They were now entering Indiana; the traffic started to clear up. It was tranquil on the bus, so Alexander put on some old music from the early 2000s. It was about 5 pm, it was a long day, but they had lots of fun. They had packed some Sandwiches from Subway. The rest stop was 20 miles away. Once they arrived they immediately cleaned the gutter.
When they got there, they sprinted to the restroom while Alexander cleaned up the RV and took out the trash. That night they went out for dinner; it was KFC nothing fancy. They all got ten chicken breasts and muffins. They had gotten some extra KFC that they could put in the fridge for lunch tomorrow or whenever they felt like eating that again. The morning had come; they have slept for a long, long time. It was Tim's turn to drive it would be a perfect ride but an awful day weather-wise, but thankfully the traffic was light. Tim was a brilliant man who graduated from MIT. His dream was to become an aerospace engineer. He built aircraft for the military and the future. He loved building electric cars and trucks he just finished a 1,980HP Ram truck that could go for 600 miles without recharging, but it was still a prototype it was estimated to be out in 2035 it was 2019 they still had a long way to go. Tim loves to drive as long as if he has a family-size pack of Takis and a red bull, he could go for days without stopping.
They still had to go through Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, and Nevada until California. Nebraska was beautiful with all the mountains and terrain they drove through. They stopped at a national park. They saw wild Black Bears, Coyotes, and Bobcats. They even got to pet a bear. They got back on the road around 4 o'clock there was a small little diner called Quicker Inn they have waffles and chicken, an odd combination but the best thing they have ever eaten.
Alexander had everybody get the trash out and get the waste pipe ready, so right when they got there, they could have the RV nice and clean. They struggled to get up the mountain. The rest stop had a beautiful view for the sunset, the light beamed right at them, and there were mountains in the distance. In the middle of the night, Alexander woke up. There was a strange crackling sound towards the front of the bus. There were also hefty breathing everybody was asleep at least he thought he slowly crawled to the front of the bus. There is where a shadow somewhat human-like shaped stayed put at. Alexander jumped over the couch and got a hold of the beast and strangled it to the floor.
"Wait. What?" Alexander said. It was Sam; he was eating Tim's Takis; he was saving for the morning. Tim had red powder all over his face and a jug of milk. "What is your problem, man," Alexander said. "Midnight cravings," Sam smacked alexander in the head.. Sam would have to drive, so he needed sleep.
In the morning, they had breakfast the KFC they had two days ago. It was still so good one more day it would have been rotten. The sunrise was terrific birds flew over the horizon, and squirrels climbed the trees. Tim came running outside where they were finishing up their breakfast
"Where are my Takis," Tim yelled. Sam and Alexander looked at each other. Tim knew that they were up to something. Tim said, "Sam did you eat my Takis?" "no," Sam responded. Tim knew and threw an acorn at Sam's head.
They were on the road going down the mountain was hard with such a big RV they had to go very slowly around the small roads once they reached the highway there was no traffic at all not one car was spotted for miles, and it was a beautiful day nothing could go better.
They blasted music and going way over the speed limit with that truck and Sam's driving skills you might as well go swimming with a pool of great white sharks. Before they reached their exit, they had to take, there was a tunnel that when threw a mountain in the distance. They were approaching the tunnel. It was freezing; it was all glass so you could see the rock formation. It was scary but cool at the same time. All of a sudden, the GPS went out, and the lights on the bus shut off, and the speed on the bus started to pick up speed. They were zooming through the tunnel, then all a sudden boom they entered a purple big purple glow. The bus stopped at the lights came on, and the Disco ball came back on.
They all got off the floor weird alien-like ships were hovering over them, "where are we," Alexander said. Their RV was suddenly lit up into the air like some force was pulling them up. They got into a spacecraft they were surrounded by a glass, and some big green blobs with bug eyes were staring right at us. All of a sudden, boom! The bus had disappeared, and they were floating in the air some red light scanned threw them and lifted all of there objects in their pockets lifted out then they were placed into 4 tubes and water started to fill the tubes they all looked at each other and then the room they were in went black, and they all screamed. The alien walked out of the room and closed the lights and waved goodbye they all screamed.
