Snapchat Strangers
It was winter and she was in a deep state of depression. Ever since her dad died of an apparent overdose and dealing with her alcoholic mom, she feels worthless more and more each day. Then one day that all changed. She was finally happy. Happy to be talking to a boy she had met on Snapchat a week ago. They told each other everything and had a lot in common like playing sports, but they never met in person. Everytime she asked to facetime he would make up an excuse which she thought was weird. One night after talking to him she fell asleep.
The next morning she woke up cold, blindfolded, and tied to a broken chair. She tried to free herself for about a half an hour before shouting for help.
She finally let out a scream, “Someone help me!”
She felt a slap across her face.
“Shut up or die!” said the man.
She now feels even more scared knowing she’s not alone. All these thoughts began running through her head. Who is this? Am I going to die? Will he let me go?
“What do you want from me?”, She asked.
“I want you to be mine forever.” he said in a creepy tone.
He then took her blindfold off slowly and she was left shook. It was a random old man, who she had never met before . She looked at him, around the dusty, small room, and then back at him.
“Let me go!”, she demanded.
“I can’t now that you’ve seen my face. Looks like you have to stay with me forever.”, said the man.
“Yeah, that’s just what I want to do.”, she said.
She began to cry. She knew no one would ever look for her. Her mom was too drunk to realize and she had no friends. Then she remembered on Snapchat she can send the boy her location and he would come help her. She sent her location and as soon as it said delivered she heard a ding. The ringtone came from the same room she was in. Looking up she saw a light coming from a phone, then she ran over to it and picked it up. She looked at it and realized it was the Snapchat she had sent to the boy but on a different phone. She went to call the cops but it was too late.
