Forever
Time is an interesting thing. It lasts forever, yet disappears in the blink of an eye. It can feel like an eternity. Or, it can feel like virtually nothing. It's invisible, yet controls us and our daily lives. It can change your personality, your opinions, your feelings. When you think about it, isn’t it strange how some time away from something can change you completely? Six months ago, my older sister was inside the airport, about to leave for college for the first time. Now she’s inside the airport, back for vacation. Six months ago, she was always crying because of how lonely she always was. Now, she’s confident and has a caring group of friends. Six months ago, I found talking to her frustrating because she was so caught up in her own business. Now, I take talking to her as something rare and enjoyable. Six months ago, I was the annoying little sister she’d been stuck with for 10 years. Now, I’m her greatest fan, friend, and confidant. Six months ago, even the thought of hugging each other was foreign and hesitant. Now, after six dragging months, both of us cling to each other’s arms, wanting to hold onto the feeling of sisterhood forever.
