Why Me?
It was December 12, 2018, and Leah was quickly trying to grab the rest of the stuff that she needed for her trip to Colorado. She was so excited about this trip. It would be the first time that she would be seeing snow. It was a present to herself for finishing business school. She had lived her whole life in Las Angeles, California. She could barely close her suitcase, so she decided that she could either bring another bag or she could try to terminate some things that she does not need. The last thing she wanted to bring was her favorite scarf, but she could not find it. Leah then realized that her dog was chewing on it. She went to grab it and got into a little altercation trying to get it back. She then admonished the dog. She was finally able to leave her house. When she got to the airport she realized her plane boards in 10 minutes and she still had to go through security. She was very irate about this. She said,”Ugh, why can’t everything just go right for a change?” When she finally got through she rushed to the plane. She made it with two minutes to spare. The plane ride was quite long, so she decided to sleep during the flight. When she landed, she thought the flight was mediocre. She was very excited to get to her hotel and start exploring. She went to grab her luggage and get to her rental car. When she got to her hotel she went to get food. After she ate she grabbed her suitcase and began to unpack. She soon realized that those were not her clothes. She was in a huge dilemma. She starts to panic. She packs the stuff and runs out of her room. When she turned the corner, she accidentally knocked over this girl. She quickly said sorry without even stopping. She was so upset. She decided to call the airport and see if she could find it. She walked back to her room and thought she would just have to look again tomorrow morning. A few hours later someone had knocked on her hotel door. When she opened it she realized it was the girl she had knocked over earlier. “ Hi, my name is Jacklin,” she said. “ Is your name Leah?” Leah was confused but said yes. “ I think our luggage got mixed up,”Jacklin said, “ I noticed you on the plane and I asked everyone at the desk if that was you and they said yes.” Leah was so happy to hear this great news. So they both gave each other the right suitcase. Leah and Jacklin exchanged numbers. Leah felt like they would be great friends. She spent the rest of her vacation relaxing and talking with her new friend.
