If you go to the Singapore High School everyday at 4pm you’ll find the same girl at the same place. Emma stays in school for multiple reasons every day. One day she has piano lessons, one day she has Tennis or the other day she has an extra lesson for her Art class.

I’m Noah, her boyfriend and we all stay in school. I have debate after school every day and when I’m done, I drive Emma home. We both live downtown Singapore in apartments which are just 10 minutes away from each other. Today is friday, so I’ll go home with Emma and we’re spending the weekend together. She lives together with her Mum and her little brother, he’s 15 and a good friend of mine.

I’ve waited in front of our school because I was done earlier. It was really windy and her long blond hair flew around because she forgot her hair tie as always. She’s really good in school, one of the best students in our grade but she always forgets things, meetings, birthdays, everything, but that’s why I like her so much.

We head right back to her apartment and cooked dinner for us and her family. There’s nothing she’s better at than cooking. Today she did one of her favorite receipts, it’s a traditional swedish dinner. She never lived in sweden but travelled there multiple times because her mum is swedish and grew up there. She loves vegan food even tho she’s not vegan.

Emma’s room is really small  but she uses every space because she’s really organized in her room and for school. On the wall next to her bed she has a whiteboard with multiple concert tickets, too much to count. She loves concerts and music.

When we entered her room she throws her brown parka on the bed. She wears it every day when it’s colder, mostly she keeps it really simple. White converse, skinny jeans a sweater and her parka. For school she always uses some kind of bag, it depends on her classes.

When you open her closet you won’t see that many clothes, she lives really minimalistic since she has a really small room, so she doesn’t really have much clothes but everything she need. In her room is a piano, I can never thought about Emma without a piano. It’s a part of her life. She taught herself the piano at the age of 12 and started to take lessons a couple of years ago. She goes to many piano concerts and it’s wonderful to listen to her.

Emma travels a lot that’s why she’s never here in any breaks from the school. She’s really tall, skinny, has the scandinavian stereotype with blond hair, blue eyes and light skin. She travels around the world for model jobs. She’s just 17 and travelled to over 30 countries. Whole europe, a lot of countries here in Asia and South America. I wish someday we can travel the world together.  I know that is her dream, so it’s mine. When she’s traveling to work, she doesn’t really have time to see the countries.

Em, that’s how her friends and family call her, is always happy. You’ll never see her unhappy. She enjoys every moment at its fullest because she knows how hard live can be. She lost her older sister at the age of 18, she was 15 at this point. Her parents got divorced when she was just 5 and she never saw her dad again, she doesn’t really remember the time with him but sometimes she really wants to know more about her dad.

We had a really good evening together but I had to leave really early in the morning because she was about to fly to Germany for a job.

Currently I'm an exchange student from Germany here in America and I wanted to create something which kind of represent me. My name isn't Emma and I'm not skandinavian but her whole character reflects mine.
