An Ordinary Pumpkin
A pumpkin like any other, orange with ridges and the rounded shape, a stem on my head and guts inside me. What separates me from the rest of the pumpkins in the wagon? Am I too little, too short? Am I too big or too bulky? Perhaps my stem is not long enough, yes that must be it! My stem is the problem, my stem is too short! After all, Larry fell of the wagon and he still got picked, so that must be it! Oh wait, what’s this, someone picking me from the wagon? Oh happy day! It’s a toddler, bright eyed and happy, eager to carve. My color is bright and my ridges r defined, I imagine I’d make a wonderful cat.
