Terror at the Baghdad Market
I was in the grocery store when I saw a flash of light, then I was violently thrown back and cracked my
head against the ground. The building was collapsing and burning. Windows were shattered blood was
spattered. The babies were crying and people were dying. My heart was churning will we live or die how
can I survive such violence. We live in fear and hate it is too much to tolerate, is this our fate? My head
was pounding rubble was surrounding us, infants making a fuss. People were screaming, a few were
leaving and I begged and pleaded for help. But they only fended for themselves. The ambulance came
in, the rain was pouring hard and I thanked the Lord. I wonder if it all has a reason?
