Bambi
Most people perceive me as a cold-hearted, selfish prince, but I’m definitely not. I honestly hate being prince because everyone thinks you have the most privileged life ,but we really don’t. The main reason why I hate it is because my wonderful father. Now, the dead prince. He suffered a tragic death from a rifle wound. He got shot when he was guarding the forest from the vile man. I have fantastic news though, my wife is pregnant. I am so eager to meet him! At sunrise I awakened to the beautiful sight of my wife and a tiny fawn. He had soft brown spotted fur like silk, 2 tiny round black eyes, and a cute little brown button nose. He was very precious!
I took a quick glimpse at them before casually approaching them. My wife and I both asked each other about what we should name him. We had no idea. Until it hit both of us, the name was Bambi, it means “small child”. It suits him well. Especially because he was a small, sweet, little innocent creature. After I was done talking to my wife, I headed towards the hedge to find my unruly herd of stags. As soon as I reached them, I heard them gossiping about how charming the new fawn was. They asked me if I knew anything about it and I claimed that he was mine. Everyone chuckled at me. Go figure. They think I’m ugly. Yes, I’m unattractive ,but that fawn is mine. I sighed and sent them off to another busy day of work.
Today, was a really insane day. Several gunshots blaired through the forest. Especially down by the glades,(entrance of the forest). I ignored the gunshots until a buck hollered at me about a hunter, who attempted to fire at a doe. We all split up. When we were inspecting the glades, something caught my eye. A dark casting shadow of a broad man with a rifle aimed at doe and her fawn. Soon, I realized that man in the shadow was intending to kill my own wife and son. Frantically, I yowled at them informing them to alert everyone. Briskly, I scampered in search for my wife and son. Luckily, I saw my son galloping beside me.Thank God! He’s safe. BAM! A booming explosion filled the air, leaving everyone in awe. I pleaded that it wasn’t my wife or a close friend of mine left in crisis.
Eventually the man withdrew from the forest. However, I still directed my son towards the safe thicket. I told him to be wary and I would be back by nightfall. I wandered towards my herd to asking them questions about today’s suspicious shootings . They told me all about it. As I was listening carefully, I discovered that my wife had been killed! Oh, NO! This can’t really be happening. In all honesty I’m in utter shock. Even through this dark time I have to be strong for Bambi. I had a brief conversation with my sister-in law Ena, and Thumper the rabbit. I had asked them to protect my son because I knew I couldn’t watch him all the time. Around midnight I walked back to the thicket and gave snook Bambi a quick goodnight kiss.
The past few months have been swell, until this morning. I woke up to the putrid smell of sizzling smoke. I went to check the glades and blazing trees were descending into the rigid ground. Swiftly, I bellowed at everyone to wake up and alarm others to go down to the river. My son and I assisted animals across the vigorous river. Fortunately, everyone made it, and all of us witnessed the horrific sight. Before, I let my son go see my niece Faline, I told him these few words. When the forest turns green again, I will become very crippled and ancient, so you must become the new prince. Bambi peered at me with tear-stained eyes and assured he would. Now, that was the last time I ever gazed at the remarkable sight of the radiant green forest and my enchanting fawn.

You have most likely heard of "Bambi." Books, plays, novels, written everywhere about this. Bambi is one of my all time favorite disney classics. Our teacher wanted us to write a classical story ,but with our own twist. Yes, I have included parts of the story based on the orginal book. However I did not copy any words from the book. This is my version of Bambi.
