After months of planning and countless hours of bridal magazines and questions of what I liked best the day was here. After six years of dating and a two year engagement I was ready to marry my best friend. Arabella Grace Hennings. Soon to be Bradford. With her small frame and tiny 5’5” height she was adorable. I couldn’t wait to see her.

Standing under the white painted altar in my tux staring out at my family waiting for my gorgeous bride. As she steps out of the worn brick building and makes her way to the top of the stairs my breath escapes my lungs. Her long chestnut brown hair is pinned to her head in the most beautiful way I’ve ever seen it. Her dress. The dress I’ve been banned from for months. It’s perfect. Fitted to her amazing body and flaring out at her feet. The long veil pulled down over her face covering most of the makeup I knew she had worked so hard to make perfect. The one thing I could see shining brightly through the veil was her flawless smile. The smile I had fallen so in love with. She was amazing. The woman I wanted to spend every waking moment with until the day I died.

The tears. I could feel them forming in my eyes. I always said I wouldn’t be the groom that would cry but I knew I wouldn’t be able to hold them back when I saw this beautiful girl standing in front of me. The music began to play and her dad walked her down the aisle toward me. All of our family and friends standing gazing at the beauty of the woman I would call my wife in just a few short moments. High school sweethearts ready to spend the rest of our lives together. As she reached me at the altar she grabbed my hands and I pulled her veil back over her head and gasped at the pure perfection that stood in front of me. Tears in her eyes she looked toward the officiant waiting for the ceremony to begin.

Vows were said. Every ounce of our hearts spilled to each other in front of all of the people who we cared about most. We were pronounced husband and wife and I finally kissed my gorgeous wife. We made our way to a garden for the pictures we would treasure forever to remember this day. I didn’t need pictures to remember how wonderful my wife is and how happy I am. After pictures we headed to the gazebo for our reception. Our first dance together as husband and wife. We had prepared and practiced this dance for months to ensure it was perfect for Arabella. I grabbed her small hand and walked her to the center of the floor. She was an uncommon and slightly humorous height compared to what I was used to. Holding her close the music began. We dance slowly gracing the dance floor just as we had planned. Looking down into her emerald green eyes glowing brightly. I couldn’t wait to stare into these eyes for the rest of my life.
