When i was six years of age my mom had died. She was born a slave just like me. The last time i saw her was when, my master Mr. Wesley told her to come here. He’d beat her to death because she snuck me a piece of cornbread out of the Mr. Wesley’s Kitchen. I admit I was sad and terrified at the same time. I missed her dark brown eyes. Growing up was a bit challenging because I never felt that good comfort from a momma’s love. My dad didn't bother to care about my moms death, only because he was a selfish jerk, that had never gotten a beaten from Mr. Wesley. Rumor has it that he was the one who snitched on momma. Most people hardly speaks to him because he’s known around here as Master’s Puppet. He speaks to me about Once a day, but mostly to say “Do Good, you don’t wanna master whopphin.” I try to think of anything positive about him but nothing shows up, his heart is as cold as ice. I wonder why momma feel for him. She always said that when they first met he was a perfect man until he saw former slaves get a beaten it traumatized him for the rest of his life. I want to know that other part of my dad that momma knew.

Mr. Wesley came back to the plantation at about 6 o’clock and he actually had a grin on his face.
This was the first time in about 5 months that I saw him smile. That grin of his was either a happy one or a sneaky/mischievous one. Later on master told every last slave including house slaves to gather up and meet him at the cotton fields. He gave me an order so I had to do it. I’ve been at this plantation for 12 years, since i was a baby to a little boy. I know the Rules and what i’m not suppose to do. I’ve been thinking about leaving. It doesn't really matter only if i get caught. No one really cares much about me and the only person that did was my momma. I live here with 60 other slaves and i’m just another kid that lives in the shadows. No one notices me anyway so why would they notice if I was gone. Master told everyone that someone is going to get traded into Plantation #48. That is known as the worst, cruelest plantation known to mankind. Everyone of us slaves hope and pray to the mighty Lord that we aren't chosen. This gives me time to escape while everyone is paying attention to master. TALK TO YOU GUYS LATER…

THE LITTLE BOY DIED! HE GOT CAUGHT TRYING TO ESCAPE AND WAS BEAT TO DEATH, JUST LIKE HIS MOMMA! HIM AND HIS MOTHER LIVED TOGETHER FOREVER IN THE HEAVENS ABOVE, ONLY TO LEAVE BOTH OF THEIR BODYS WHIPPED BY MR. Wesley.
