"Sometimes, good things fall apart so better things can fall together." -Marilyn Monroe

Along the narrow sidewalk, Emma gripped her raincoat hood, dashing down the further road. Because of the harsh rain, it was freezing in London, on top of that it was winter. Crystal clear raindrops fell onto piles of snow along the busting streets, creating gross mush that she avoided every few steps she took. Dashing through the heavy rain, snow, and fierce winds attacking her, Emma reached a cozy tavern on the side of the road. Eyes of diners quickly looked at her. Female, fairly young, perhaps a runaway teenager; drenched in rain and snow. Giggly voices paused, all guests observing this stranger who stormed in. “Hello, are you okay?”

“Idiot, of course she’s not. Just look at her condition!”

“Kris, please be gentle around our new guest, please. Look, you’re going to catch a cold.” Minutes later, Emma was bundled up in multiple blankets, surrounded by concerned strangers.

“Now then, before we do anything immediate, we should do introductions.”

“Okay,”Emma said softly, still shivering. Prior to the snowstorm she just went through, she was also given a mug of hot chocolate. Questioning her safety, she listened carefully to the surrounding people’s introductions.

“Riley, that’s the name. So, what’s yours?” Turned heads are pointed towards Emma. “Um…Violet.”

“Violet! Wow, what a pretty name!”

“Xiomara,  isn’t that your favorite flower?”

“Yes!” Zealous to not be caught, of course Emma lied about her true name.
