Thirsty
The fire hydrant laughs at the homeless man. I have all the water you could ever drink in all your life. And more to bathe in, more to clean under your fingernails. But you cant get my cap off haha. Just try. Try to pry my cast iron lid off while your strength sputters out. Give up. Wait for a fire. Or maybe create a fire. A big one hopefully, or no one will care enough to bring water. Water to douse the fire. Liquid to drown the flame. Maybe they’ll catch you. Maybe you’ll go to jail. Then you’ll have a home.
Or not.
