The lingering pain on her face seemed to last longer than the hand that had just left it.
The woman looked into her eyes deeply, as the woman looked at her she realized the eyes no longer ran deep with warmth and kindness, but pure disappointment that struck cold chills through her whole body. It was the woman in front of her who guided her, loved her. Held her most, and picked her up off her bruised shaken knees. But it was that very woman that starred down at her and left her there on her knees. As the door shut not only did it keep the outsiders out, but it keeps her in.
As she sat there the room became cold the air crisp and musky. The walls that surrounded her once took her everywhere, and anywhere. They now took her to a place of darkness and pain. As the walls enclosed around her she tried shutting her eyes to erase what had just happened. But no matter how hard or fast she shut them she still couldn’t forget. Now the only thing she could hear was her scream fading and radiating slowly through the walls.
