SOCCER DREAM
SOCCER DREAM Jason came home from disappointing news for his parents. The news was that he didn’t get accepted to the soccer team in his city. His parents told him to start doing something serious and to give up on the soccer dream. For Jason it was difficult to show what his future was going to be. Jason parents wanted him to go to college and focus on a certain career that would benefit Jason in the future. He didn’t want to go to college because Jason wanted to continue his soccer dream. His parents told him that if not Jason will have to move out the house. it was really hard to decide what he wanted to do. Jason went to his room and thought about the pros and cons about each situation As he thought, thought, and thought he finally thought of a decision that would be right for Jason. He went back downstairs to talk about his choice. “Mom, dad I’m deciding to move out the house to keep my dream of being a soccer player”, Jason said. His parents were shocked of the decision he made. “But Jason think of what we are offering you so you can have a better life” said Jason’s mom. Jason’s dad said “Honey this is his choice there’s nothing we can do about it.” Now Jason you know that you have to find a new place because we can’t keep you here now that you know what you are going to do with your life” Jason’s dad said. Jason regretted his decision, but he knew giving up wasn’t the answer. A few moments later he got his phone and called one of his best friends, Dan. Dan has always played on the soccer team in his old school with Jason. Dan didn’t continue with soccer because he wanted to be a doctor. When Dan answered the phone he didn’t recognize who was calling. “Really dude it’s me” Jason said, “Oh hey bro what’s up” Dan replied. “ Look dude I’m moving out my parents house because i’m not giving up on my soccer dream and I don’t have enough money for this apartment i was looking at.” “And you want a little extra money to live there” replied Dan. “Yeah bro that would help me out a lot” said Jason. The only reason why Dan said yes to helping out Jason on his money problems was because Dan had a part time job and he stilled lived with his parents. Dan didn’t spend a lot of money on things so he could of help Jason a little bit on the apartment. After the phone call Jason told his parents that Dan would be helping him out one the apartment, so there was no need for Jason’s parents to help. Jason’s parents weren’t so positive about the idea of him doing that, but they still agreed to it. This was going to be a big step. It was the day for Jason to move into the apartment it was hard for him because Jason was not good at being organized. Once he started getting his new place organized or sort of, because it still looked like a mess, he started working out non stop. Jason spent a couple of weeks to find if a soccer team had tryouts or something like that. He then found that a soccer team was having tryouts for new players. Later that day Dan called Jason to see how it was going and, while discussing about the tryouts that jason was going to, Dan suggested something. He would help Jason practice for tryouts. Dan was not going easy on Jason and that’s what Jason needed right now. Their was a few days left till tryouts and Jason felt better than ever even with all the things happening. If Jason got accepted to the team it meant that it will kick off his soccer career. In the day of tryouts he was more calm and relaxed than the other times he was going to tryout for a team. There was a better chance that he would join this smaller team than the other one he tried before. Outside in the pitch you could see Jason trying his best with all these other guys that were older than him. Jason actually looked like an all pro soccer player. There was some things that Jason that he didn’t do good at. The main thing that he didn’t do good at was playing terrible at defending the ball, but he later started coming back and started great out here. The coaches were pointing out all of the guys out there, but mostly at Jason. Tryouts were over and Jason felt pretty confident about the way he played. After everyone was done cleaning up, the coaches said that everyone will get a call saying they made the team or not. Jason didn’t feel like he did enough to make the team, but if he did make it than it would of been by a miracle. Two days went by and still no call from the team. Jason was so worried because he didn’t know what to do if he didn’t get accepted. And he did not want to tell his that he had failed again because then his parents would have forced him to college and focus on career. A couple of hours later Jason got a call from the team. Jason was super nervous to pick up the phone. He was so nervous that he started shaking and it was hard for him to talk. “Hello?” Jason said, Hello is Jason Lopez there? said the person calling. “Yes this him” He replied, Well Jason congratulations you have made the team!”said the man. At that point Jason was so glad that he got accepted to the team. “ In three days you will have your practice with the full team” said the man. In each game the scouts were there and Jason played better than ever. He got numerous deals from bigger teams than the one he was on. After three seasons with the team he would accept the offer that LA Galaxy gave him. Just like that he started to become well known in the U.S. Then he played for the national team, while getting different offers from bigger teams in Europe. Now he plays with one of the best team in Europe which was Chelsea F.C in England. By, Richard SOCCER DREAM Jason came home from disappointing news for his parents.
