"I'll see you at home"
While gazing out of the window in my restive writing class, I realized that everything outside was still. The sky was a hazy grey color with bare silhouettes of trees. The grass was slightly moist because of the frost from earlier this morning. A few people were walking on the pale sidewalk while bundled up in thick clothes. Somehow the frigid air still reddened their noses. Even just looking outside you could tell that it was bitterly cold out there. The only thing that stuck out was the bricks on Parkwood Hill. The green on the building was the only bright thing in the dull picture.
All of a sudden, one of the ladies walking had stopped. Had something interrupted her stroll? She kept on looking around as if she had lost something. Across the street kids were having recess when one of them had ran up to the jagged fence. The little girl started hopping up and down happily while waving her fully clothed arms around. They waved at each other and said “I'll see you at home!” Both of their days had brightened up tremendously after this event happened. All it took was a little bit of happiness. It's beautiful all that you can see when you just open your eyes a little wider.
