Danielle woke up thinking it was going to be a wonderful day. What she didn't know was her life would never be the same.

          It had been 6 years since daniel has worked. Her husband always thought it would be best if their little girl didn't have to go to daycare especially in new york city.  But, Estelle was starting kindergarten and Danielle felt it was time to get back to what she loves. Teaching. That day danielle had an interview at her daughter's school to teach fifth grade. Her husband urged her to be a stay at home mom because he was a successful lawyer who made enough money support them. Daniell just wouldn't have it she needed her own life, some independance.
          Marcus, Danielle's husband took the day off to be with Estelle that August summer day that Danielle walked off for her interview. Danielle said goodbye and went towards the subway. It was a beautiful day and she felt good, nothing could bring her down. Yet.
          When Danielle was on the subway she couldn't stop smiling until she heard the gunshot. The gunshot that changed her life forever. A man fell on the floor across from her. Danielle went into complete shock. The corner of her eye caught the man with the gun standing in front of and old women waiting for her to hand over her money. As the man continued down the line she felt her whole body shiver. Then the man came to her. For some odd reason she refused to give the man her money. That made the confused and very angry. He punched danielle right across the face. As she fell off her seat all she could hear was his muffled deep yelling.
          All she could think about was her family waiting for her home. Shaking she handed over her valuables. Within a few seconds the man was jumping off at the next stop.
           All the people on the subway went through the routine with the police histarically except danielle who could barely speak a word.
           Danielle was taken to the hospital for examination where Marcus and Estelle embraced her. But still Danielle would only talk a little. The robbery scene was rushing through her head, replaying, making her go insane.
          Danielle spent the night in the hospital and returned home the next day a changed women. She didn't want to get out of bed. She ate less. She definitely did not want to play with Estelle. Marcus tried to talk her into therapy but she wouldn't agree.
            It was useless.
            The old Danielle was gone.
            Danielle would never return.
