It was a cold, breeze filled late afternoon as the wintery feel took over Friday when Sabrina came home from school. She was wearing comfy stretching jeggings, black combat boots, a plaid flannel shirt, a black winter coat and a black book bag.  She came home from school looking for her mom. She dropped her bookbag in the kitchen next to a silver, metal chair and went to the fridge to get something to eat.  After she ate, she grabbed her bag and sat at the rectangular silver table to do her English homework which was to write an essay on whether the students should use technology or not in school. While she was working on her English essay, she heard her brother’s car pull in the driveway. She looked out the kitchen window to see if her brother really was home and he was.
“My brother home!” she screamed.
“Sabrina stop screaming!” her mom told Sabrina, while coming down the stairs and into the living room.
“I’m sorry mom, but I'm excited because Jason’s home,” she told her mom.
“I know that you're excited Sabrina, but you have to finish your English essay,” her mom said.
“Okay mom I’ll go finish my essay,” she sighed while she’s do her essay that she had to for english. Jason walked up to the house and opened the door to see his mother standing in the living room.
“Hi Jason!” his mom said while smiling at him.
“Hey mom,” he replied smiling back to his mom. Jason walked into the kitchen to see his sister doing her English essay.
“Hey sis,” he said.
Sabrina stopped and looked up to see her brother standing across from her while he smile at her. “Hey big bro,” she replied smiling back at her brother.
“Well I'm off to work and I left a chores list on the countertop. Bye guys, love you,” their mom said.
“Okay mom love you too,” they both replied.
After Sabrina finished her English essay, she put it in her backpack, grabbed her bag and walked upstairs to her room to change into her comfy pajamas. After she changed, she walked back downstairs to start her chores, but Jason refused to do his chores.
“Well I'm not doing my chores,” Jason mumbled, making sure that Sabrina didn't hear him but it was too late she already heard him.
“You got to do your chores Jason, you have too!” Sabrina yelled at her brother.
“Well I'm not doing it!” he yelled back at her.
Then they both started arguing about him not doing his chores. So Sabrina gave up arguing and started to do her and her brother’s chores.
“Hope you get into a lot of trouble Jason!” she shouted while doing the chores.
“Well I'm glad to be in trouble because I love to get into trouble!” he shouted back to her.
After  doing her chores, Sabrina was about to finish her brother’s chores, too, when the phone rang. She stopped, got the phone and realized it was her mom calling her.
“Hi mom,” Sabrina said.
“Hey sweetie,” she replied.
“So what’s up?” Sabrina asked.
“Your father and I will be home any minute,” her mom said.
“Okay mom,” Sabrina replied. So she hung up the phone and continued to do the chores.
“Who was on the phone?” Jason yelled from upstairs in his room.
“It was mom and they’ll be here in a minute!” Sabrina yelled back to Jason.
Just then Sabrina heard their parents car pulled up the driveway. “They’re home mom and dad are home!” Sabrina yelled.
“Okay be down in a sec,”Jason replied while racing down the stairs.
Sabrina and Jason were sitting on the couch talking quietly while their parents walk into the house.
“We're home,” their parents say.
“Hey mom and dad,” Sabrina and Jason both replied.
“Did you do the chores like I asked you to do?” their mom say.
“Yep I did mine and Jason’s chores,” Sabrina say while smirking at Jason.
“You did Jason chores?” their mother questioned.
“Yep,” Sabrina replied.
“Jason you are in big trouble, you are grounded for three months,” their mother and father said.
“Told you you would get in trouble,” Sabrina whispered.
“You are doing your own chores for the next three months,” their mom said to Jason.
“Okay mom,” Jason sighed. Sabrina got so bored of listening to their parents and Jason conversation of him being grounded and had to do his chores for the next three months. This is boring when is it going to be over Sabrina thought still listening to the conversation.
“Well I'm going to take a shower,” Sabrina told her parents.
“Okay sweetie,” they both replied.
After she finished her shower Sabrina was standing in the hall waiting for her parents and Jason conversation and they did. Sabrina saw her brother walk up the stairs and into his room feeling guilty because he didn’t help his sister do the chores like their mom ask them to do. Now, Sabrina was really puzzle and feeling guilty right now. I thought that Jason love to get into trouble that he didn’t do his chores she thought. I need to talk to Jason and tell him what’s wrong she thought again.
Sabrina walk to Jason room and knock on his door. “Jason can I come in?” Jason walk to the door and open it to see his sister standing there feeling guilty. “Sure come in,” Jason said dull. Sabrina walk in, close the door and sat on his chair. “So what’s do you want to talk about?” he asked dull. “I just want to talk to you about what mom said to you” Sabrina replied. “What’s about it,” he asked. ‘I want to help unground you because I don’t think it fair that you get grounded and I’m getting all the credit,” Sabrina said nervously. “Why do you want help me?” Jason said. “I want to help you because I’m your younger sister and I don’t want my brother feeling guilty because of me,”Sabrina sigh. “Thanks lil sis,” he said. “You're welcome,” she replied. “Now what are we going to tell mom and dad our talk?” Jason asked. “Maybe we can tell them the truth,”she replied.“How are we going to tell them?”he asked. “We both tell them what we gonna do,”she replied. “Okay” he said nervously.
Jason and Sabrina both walk downstairs to talk to their parents. “Mom, dad have a seat on a couch please,” Sabrina say. “Sure,”their parent say. “Jason and I talk about the punishment that you gave him that he didn't do his chores,”she say. “Okay what's about it?” their parents replied. “I think that you let Sabrina help me to do my chores and I don't think it's fair that she get all the credit,” Jason said. “Okay she can help you with your chores,” their parent replied. “Yes! thanks mom and dad,” they both said as they both hug each other while smiling.
