Death is Evil
It was Monday morning almost time to go to school and Lexa turned on channel 7 news. “Michelle Hicks was murdered yesterday at 9 p.m. on the corner of Ohio and Bishop, the Atlanta Police Department says the body was found in a dumpster behind Alfred’s Pizzeria.”
Lexa’s grandma Linda yanks the remote from Lexa and turns the television off and started bawling her eyes out. Lexa just stared at the reflection of herself from the television.
“Should I tell your brother ?” questioned Linda with tears running down her face.
“It’s all up to you grams, i just don’t know how he’s going to take it.”
“Don't know how I'm going to take what?” said Gemini with curiosity.
“Bye grams love you i’m going to school,” muttered Lexa who was anxious to get out the door.
“Alexis honey, are you going to be okay?” questioned grams.
She slipped her black nikes, and headed for the door.
“Yeah grams i’m gonna be fine.”
As Lexa steps on the porch Terrance popped out the cut.
“Hey, Alexis!” said Terrance with so much energy. “Beautiful day isn't it!”
She looked at Terrance gave him the stank face then rolled her eyes. Terrance, who was Alexis neighbor and Gemini’s friend annoyed Lexa. She had no interest in him but he showed a lot of interest in her.
“Leave my alone Terrance, I'm not in the mood.” Muttered Lexa.
“What's wrong with ya? Is it because it's Monday, do you have the Monday blues?” said Terrance in an annoying cheery voice.
Lexa took her earbuds out.
“Terrance leave me alone, I'm seriously not in the mood.” Said Lexa with a little more anger.
The noise of the roaring bus caught Lexa’s attention so she put her earbuds back in, ignored terrance and hurried to the corner where the bus stopped. When the oil bucket came to a stop Lexa went straight to the back thinking she was going to get away from the annoyance that followed her. Lexa took a seat then plop, Terrance did too.
“Dude get out my seat you’re annoying as hell, if i have to ask you again you’re going to get smacked.”
“Lexa i just want to know what’s wrong, you can talk to me.”
‘’Get out my seat now.”
“Why won’t you tell me what’s wrong i just wanna--”
SMACK ! Lexa slaps Terrance, his left cheek instantly turns red.
“Hey kids what’s going on back there, what’s the raukus about?” shouted the driver.
“She smacked him” said all the little snitches in the front.
“Lexa get up here now. You’re just gonna have to sit here until the principal Jewel comes to get you.”
The bus finally pulled into the school parking lot and came to a stop. The kids on the bus flood the aisle ready to get off the bus. The sound of Footsteps coming up the bus steps alerted Alexa.
“Alexa come on, let’s walk and talk.” Said Principal Jewel
“What’s up Ms.Jewel, what you been up too?”
“Same old same old nothing interesting. So what seems to be the problem Miss.Alexa?” she said as she opened her office do for me.
“Well i told Terrance to leave me alone because today isn’t a good day for me,and he didn’t so i smacked him. I gave him so many chances.” said Lexa as if she did nothing wrong.
Ms.Jewel chuckled.
“Well your day just started and it’s already bad what happened?”
“Because somebody killed my mom.”
It was so silent that you could hear a needle drop.
“When did you find out, i’m so sorry for your loss Lexa?” questioned Ms.Jewel.
“This morning when i was getting ready for school.” Replied Lexa.
“Why are you here, have you had time to grieve?”
“I don't grieve Ms.Jewel,now can i go?”
“Yes you may, but you gotta go to room 608 because you still broke a school rule do you understand?”
“Yes i do, it’s whatever Ms.Jewel.”

“Lexa head to the other side Farrah's men are moving in through the front!” Yelled Terrance.
Snikt, I reload my gun and head to the entrance. “Not for long,” Lexa said with a smirk. “Ratata” my gun roars as it drops Farrah's men.
“Terrance it's all clear down here, come down.” Lexa said fiercely
“Lexa behind you,” screeched Terrance
It all happened so fast. Lexa grabbed her gun from her boot c***ed it back “snikt” and pulled the trigger.
The sound from the gun echoed.
“Sheesh that was a close one,” Lexa said with a smile.
“Yeah a very close one let’s go find Farrah's assistant Blake, I know he has an ideas about where Farrah is.” Said Terrance
As they head to the car Lexa realizes something.
“Terrance I forgot to grab Mika she's on the ledge.”
“Go get her you want me to cover you?” Questioned Terrance
“No I'm good I still got meek as my back up.”
Lexa heads inside all of a sudden she heard moving on the ledge where her gun was located.
“Well, well, well, look what we have here must I say you are a spinning image of your mother.” Said Farrah with Mika in her hand aiming for Lexa.
“Don't you dare talk about her!” Lexa shot at Farrah.
“Ahhh, you little twig you're gonna pay for that.” Farrah yelled wounded.
Lexa and Farrah started shooting at each other until…. “BOOM” Terrance shot Farrah.
Lexa felt relieved she felt like she could finally grieve.
“Lexa baby, our fight is over Farrah is dead now let's go home.” Said Terrance.
“No I wanna go see my mom first.”
The whole car ride was silent until they arrived at the grave yard.
"Ma it's over, I feel relived but there's still a part of me that needs to let go of what happened to you...I love you ma."
