Aye was sup my name is Zye. My life is sad but also confusing. My mom is battling cancer right now I live with my friend Korbin. I go to see my mom every week on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays she is the most important person in my life. My mom is so funny sometimes .But sometimes she can push it and she can get lame but i laugh anyway because she thought it was funny .My friend Korbin is 15 like me. He has two little brothers Tyler and Brendon they are 14 and 11. Ms. Jamie is his mom i call her mom occasionally and i call todd dad he is like my real dad I’ve known Korbin ever since i was 1 and he was always right there you know growing up it was just me and my mom my dad left after he knew my mom was pregnant. He's so messed up Todd is a great role model he's taught me everything i know really on how to be a man wise.
“Mom me and Zye are going to go play basketball”
“Ok be safe”
“Do you need a ride?’
“No we can walk”
“Bro were about to eat “Said Zye
“I swear “Said Korbin”
“Aye shoot for caps. “I got fist”” I got second”
“Pick up” I got Tyler I got Terrance i got Terrell i got James I got Kris i got jack i got Doreen (We were walking home late at night about 10:00 because that's when the YMCA. We get home around 10:23. Mom yells “boys get ready for supper it’s almost ready”
I get in the shower and i go down stairs and the family was sitting around the table in dead silence. I asked myself, “Wasp? We are never like this. We never eat together in silence.” Jamie started crying and puts her hand on her eyes and walks away
”What’s going on?”  Zye asked. 
Todd stood up and sighed, “zye your mother died.”
My heart sank like the titanic on April 14, 1912 i ran up stairs so fast and slammed my door so hard that it shook the house. It took like 5 minutes until i heard a knock at the door
“Zye, may i come in?” Jaime asked.
I don't respond. She opened the door.
“Zye its going to be ok we are going to get through this Hun just breath”
“I’m in so much pain right now i cant talk”
“She’s in a better place now just known she's watching over you,’” she soothed.
“Yea that makes me feel better she's my guardian angel,” I mused.
Jamie kisses me on the forehead and leaves. In a matter of 5 minutes i was sound asleep and feeling good because my mom is in a better place. I will miss my mom but now im going to do it for her.

        I'm going to do it for her…….
1. Make it through high school graduate@
2. I will get a scholarship to a university
3. I will make it through college
4. Get to the NBA
5. Get it for her

Its senior year and i think of my mom every second of the day. Its really good because i have a 4.0 gpa. I think to myself all the time “what would she want for me?’”

There’s 3 weeks left and I’m still maintaining a 4.0 Korbin is right next to me every step of the way. Korbin has been with me my whole life he's for rea i claim his as my brother l claim him as my brother.

Its game night and for the seniors its senior night and Jamie and Tod  walk me across the court with locked arms i'm holding in so many tears i can only think of my mom.
All of the sudden i lose it the tears came rushing out like the hoover dam
I didn't make noise but tears came out Jamie looks up at me and rub my back

“It's ok win it for her”
“Oh ok”
The national anthem passes and time for the tip off
The sound of the whistle goes the ball comes to me i pass it to korbin 3

Its 4th quarter and there's 15 seconds left nick passes me the ball
“Slow” as coach yells out the crowd getting louder and louder walking up the court
“Zye zye zye “
My head is so focused my heart racing with fear and nervousness.  5.....4.....3.....”SHOOT” i release the ball the stadium got dead silence 2…. Errrrrrrrrrr it drops everyone jumps with joy running on the court picking me up.

Coach Jack said “Do you know how many college scouts just witnessed what you just did?”

Walking back to the locker room i feel so good. I get to my locker and pray
“Mom i did it all for you i know how proud you would be of me right now. I wish you were here to see what happens   i know you're watching and i love you mom.
I get home and there is so many envelopes at my step
“What is this?” i asked Jamie
“Look”
My heart sank 15 college offers
I race upstairs to open them
The first 5 are D1 the other 10 are D2
First of is from the University of Syracuse
The second is from UNC
The third is from IU
The fourth is from Notre Dame
The fifth one my heart dropped my favorite college ever it is from  The University Of KENTUCKY
I GOT UP AND JUMPED ON MY BED “LET'S GO”

Graduation day and I’m so hype and after this i have the “commitment”
That is when all the schools that scouted you are at a table and you pick which one you're going to be attending.
 
     “Zye Tucker MR Jamison said .I walk across the stage as I am the greatest I succeeded   I have no doubts it's by far the happiest day of my life
That is the class of 2015 WE all stand up and throw our hats in the air.
On my way to the commitment I’m scared and nervous but I’m excited.
There is a table with 15 hats on it son it is up to you where you want to go be honest and choose wisely i look at all of them but i have to go with Kentucky. I pick the hat up
And put it on . Everyone gets in a line and shakes my hand. The couches of Kentucky come up to me and say we're very proud to have you.

           FRESHMAN YEAR GAME 1 25/50

           “tucker you’re   IN’ coach said
The whistle sounds and the ref throws in in the air i feel so alive  
Hobs tips it back to me and i think to myself time to play some ball
Jamison is wide open I pass its he passes back “tucker for 3” the commentator announces its 32 22 walking in the locker room were all hype and coach says “we're playing great basketball. Get rested and get rest we have 20 minutes until we go warm up.”   Walking back out knowing were going to get this dub. He took me out the rest of the game because we were up by 24 with 5 minutes left and we win.

It’s the end of the year and coach says I’m eligible to enter the draft..
My heart is just like amazing, it's just like I’m ranked number 1 in the NCAA. I’m bound to get drafted but do i want to finish college. I will have a 1.4 million dollar contract with the Pacers. I’m going to pick the NBA i will be rich and i can finish college later

Draft day. Coach is here all my home town friend but most of all my Whole family.  ‘“For first pick in the NBA draft the Indiana pacers select Zye Tucker from the University of Kentucky.”  Sad Mychal Thompson

I immediately jump up with joy “OH MY GOD “II really just got drafted i'm a pro i think to myself. I'm walking to the stage and i give an announcement  “i really couldn't have done it without my family man they have been just the best for me taking me into the family  you know just there for me every step of the way. Thanks to all my fans the building stands p and claps i really appreciate you guys. But  I’m going to do this for my mom i know she's up in heaven smiling and wishing she was her “I LOVE YOU MOM” i put my hand in the air and one on my chest  I walk away and I’m so excited.

I meet up with this girl from college. Her name is jasmine and she is just the prettiest thing I’ve ever seen. We have been together for a while just on and off type thing.  “Zye i have to tell you something……
”Yes “
“I'm pregnant”
“Really that's great we can finally have a family.”
“I know I’ve been waiting forever to tell you. You’ve just been so busy.”
I know I’m sorry.”

The first game I don't start. I barely play because I’m a rookie coach said I get to play 5 minutes he said I have to prove myself.
That game i had 7points. But I’m fine. I just end the night knowing i did it all for her and now it’s time. I’m a man and I’m going to be a legend
