Behind closed eyes i see me i see you, i see the joys of our pastimes and the flovourful scent of youth, i see the playful cowherd children dancing about the grass, i see the sun shining bright over the water clear as glass, i see the adolescents we blossom into, and the life that keeps us at ease, i watch the love we've grown for years now bloom and bring us peace, then i watch the seperation, i reluctantly say goodbye, when you couldnt keep your voice still, as hard as you tried, i see you mount the bullock cart, the peacock feather falls out of your hair, and i before i begin to realize, i blink and you are no longer there, friends try to console me, reassuring me that you will come back, but somewhere in my heart i know that we have been consumed by the past, too taken aback to cry, too paralyzed and meak, and too lost in abyss to notice what the world thought now of me, a soul, standing with empty eyes, hands shaking and limbs weak, unable to see the reason, to live, or chase, or breathe, my body surrenders to your absence, and my heart finally gives in, for it would only beat to the sound of your flute, that has now abruptly gone mute, forsaking what? erasing what? the innocence has been tried, and all that is reality i now see behind closed eyes.

I wrote this piece during one of my classes in school, when i got the inspiration through a vision-like state i went into.
