Do you sometimes wish you were the only child or your brother or sister was gone or they would respect you more and think things your way? Well, I do...ugh why do siblings have to be so annoying. Anyways let me tell you about this girl who works hard and never gives up, but always has something getting in her way.

San Francisco, what a wonderful place to live, palm trees everywhere, the slight breeze blowing in your face on a nice sunny day kinda as if a flashlight was in your face. It was late in the school year and Klarissa, who had just turned 12 was a very intelligent young girl who always works very hard. She loves to learn new things every day. She was very strong in math and comprehension, which were her favorite things to do in school. Klarissa was a beautiful young girl who hated her acne in middle school so then finally got rid of it and now has the face of a barbie. Klarissa lived a simple life but as always she had a tragic back story. Before Klarissa was born, her mother had a terrible boyfriend. He would cheat on her, hit her when she was pregnant, and called her ugly and fat. Anyways, he was a terrible person and as Klarissa grew older she soon finds out how bad he is. He acted like a monster.
Klarissa always wanted to own this one dream she has had since the sixth grade. That’s why she has worked so hard and not care how other people thought of or how they would call her a nerd. She had been stress free until this one terrible day…
“Look why can’t you just stop and leave me alo-” Klarissa told her brother
“Klarissa hurry up you’re going to be late!” Mother shouted.
“Alright mom almost done, “Just don’t talk to me I don’t need another distraction,” Klarissa continued telling her brother then walked away. I tried believing you but you always just screw up and make everyone hate me and I’m tired of that.
Both Klarissa and Kevin are very smart and want a career they share many things in common but the only difference was Klarissa would actually show her intelligence in school and Kevin would slack off. It was a usual day at school and as she and Kevin arrived home from school, Kevin was upset that Klarissa wasn’t talking to him. Also that day report cards came home and as usual Klarissa got straight A’s!!! She was pretty much Einstein. And also Kevin wasn’t too happy with his report card. This continued for them in both their years in middle school Kevin would get bad grades, Klarissa would get great grades and actually cared about her future and Klarissa would also avoid talking to Kevin.
This was all going good for Klarissa besides the incident with her brother back in 6th grade. Then high school came and Kevin still thought he could get away with everything. But it didn’t work that way. Their mother warned them both that there are going to be many people that are going to screw up and not care about their future and told us to stay away, but as usual Kevin didn’t care at all. High school was going good at the very beginning for the both of them. Kevin was getting good grades.
“Mom, Mom, Mom LOOK IM GETTING GOOD GRADES!!” Kevin yelled
“That’s great, now just work on your attitude and have respect for me and your dad alright?”
“Yeah mom”
“So did you show Klarissa she would be very happy for you”
“No” Kevin said in a very depressed voice “Every time I even try talking to her she gets mad and ignores me”
“If I were her I would ignore you too, she cared a lot about you and you hurt her really bad” she replied
As you know people catch feelings for other people. Both of them did have feelings here and there but it would be breaking the rule their mom had assigned...NO DATING AT ALL! But as you know Kevin thinks he is a bad *ss and still even though it was against the rules he still got one but it wasn’t no ordinary one.
“Mom can I talk to you?” said Klarissa
“Sure what do you need?”
“Well there’s this girl and she is sooo mean to me”
“Why, what is going on?”
“Well this girl said she called me a b*tch”
“What?!”
“Yeah it was the girl that Kevin has been texting she called me that and it’s true she did”
“ OMG! why would he f*cken do that kind of sh*t”.... “What kind of a dumb *ass does he think he is” mother screamed.
“Yea and her friend was telling me that why I snitched and I was telling them no I didn’t and  she was making me feel bad”
As Kevin walked into the room, mother had an angry face it turned red.
“WHY ARE YOU STILL TALKING TO THAT GIRL!” mother yelled at him so her sound carried for miles!!
“I don’t know” he replied
“ Look you are going to tell her you can’t talk to her at all UNDERSTAND!?”
“Yes”
“ cuz they keep making your sister feel bad as if she were trash...even though she isn’t your biological sister doesn’t mean anything she is your sister period.” Mother explained
“Yes mom”
“Every time they do anything to her you are going to do 100 sentences understand?!”
Kevin wasn’t too happy with this situation but as usual he didn’t care and still disobeyed the rules and asked her out. He has been disobeying rules since the 6th grade and putting his sister down. He didn’t realize how much he needed his sister until one day it finally hit him as hard as a bus
Ten years later
Kevin was drinking and failed to graduate high school and didn’t move on to college. Klarissa on the other hand passes and succeeded in life she went to the college of her dreams and became the lawyer she always wanted and is now getting involved in politics to become president.
*phone ringing*
“Hello?” Klarissa answered even though she didn’t know who it was.
“Hello, Klarissa it’s Kev-”
Klarissa hunged up as soon as she heard that it was her brother.
Kevin needed help for his family and now finally realizes that his sister’s respect for his was gone.
