Long Family Road Trip
Ingredients:
Streak of dad’s annoying country music
Truckload of my middle sister complaining about leg room
Dollop of getting lost
Flurry of naps
Pile of fighting
Crater of bathroom stops
Lifetime of driving
Directions:
Get into the car with the mindset that you will be driving for a lifetime.
Mix in a streak of dad’s annoying country music (caution: bring headphones so you can listen to your own music instead).
Add a truckload of my sister complaining about not having enough leg room.
Sift the pile of fighting throughout the trip, making sure no one gets hurt.
Once the fighting ends, let everyone settle.
Combine a dollop of getting lost, due to mom’s horrible navigational skills.
Put the crater of bathroom stops during the trip, which seems never ending.
Sprinkle a flurry of naps to keep you sane.
Once finally getting to the destination, the long road trip will seem not so long after all.
However, the memories of a long family road trip will last a lifetime.
