In a small town called White Bridge there was this boy named Noah Hill and a girl named Ivy White who had fallen madly in love with each other over the summer of eighty five. 

    It was the first  day of summer and everyone was at the pool. Noah and his friends were playing at the pool when all of a sudden Noah bumps into this girl she falls over on the floor, as Noah helps her up she yells at him ‘’ What is your problem!’’ she says, Noah tells her it was an accident and apologizes to her.  The next day Noah sees Ivy walking out of a store he catches up to her  and says “Hey wait up’’, Ivy turns around and says “oh it’s you again’’.   

      As they are walking Noah asks her what her name is  she says ‘’ my name is Ivy, Ivy White’’. And yours she asks,’’ Noah, Noah Hill’’ he says. ‘’Well nice to meet you Noah Hill ‘’ Ivy says. As they continue to walk Noah asks Ivy if she would like to have lunch with him tomorrow to make up for what had happened yesterday. Ivy says ‘’why would I want to have lunch with someone I barely know’’.  Noah gets nervous because he wasn't expecting her to say that. Noah says ‘’well we can get to know each other over lunch’’ with a big smile on his face. 

      The next day Noah and Ivy are having lunch with each other and Noah tells Ivy that she has a beautiful smile. Ivy blushes and says thank you. As the day ends Noah takes Ivy home, when Noah gets home all he could think about was Ivy and how magnificent she is. In the morning Noah heads down to the coffee shop for some breakfast and out of the corner of his eye he sees Ivy he goes up behind her and says ‘’ Good morning’’ Ivy gets startled as she realizes who it is she turns around with a big smile on her face and gives Noah  a hug. She tells Noah that she had a great time yesterday and was wondering if he would like to go to the town fair with her later on tonight, Noah says yes. Later on that night at the fair Noah tells Ivy he wants to get on the ferris wheel with her. On the ferris wheel Noah tells Ivy he has something to tell her. Ivy says ‘’ go on say what you have to say’’. Noah starts to get nervous, his hands start to sweat and he's mumbling his words when finally he gets the courage to ask her to be his girlfriend.  Ivy was so happy her face lit up brighter than the sun. She was so happy and told him ‘’ Noah White I would love to be your girlfriend’’. As they kissed each other it felt so magical it felt like it was too good to be true. When they opened their eyes and looked at each other. They smiled at one another and enjoyed the rest of the  fair. The next day Ivy and Noah meet up at the coffee shop to have breakfast and go on a picnic to  see the sunset. As night falls Noah and Ivy snuggle up with each other and watch the stars twinkle in the sky. Noah sees that Ivy has fallen asleep and she looks so peaceful  he didn't want to wake her up, but he had to. As he is waking up Ivy he sees a bottle of pills fall out of her jacket, he picks  up the pills and sees that they were for her heart. 

     When Ivy finally woke up she saw a puzzled look on Noah's face. She asked him what was wrong and he told her’’ when were you going to tell me you have something wrong with your heart’’.  Ivy stood there with a nervous look on her face and told him “ where did find those?’’. Noah tells her “ they fell out of your jacket”. Ivy tells Noah it was nothing and that it wasn’t a big deal. Ivy says she wants to go home, as they head to drop off  Ivy Noah looks at her with tears in his eyes and tells  her “ how could you tell me not worry about you I love you Ivy, I love you and I will always worry about you.’’ that was the first time Noah told Ivy he loved her, when Ivy heard what he said she looked at him with this scared look in her eyes she yelled “ STOP THE CAR.’’ Noah stomps on the brakes and Ivy gets out;  Noah follows her and tells her to slow down and to  get back in the truck. Ivy turns around and asks “ why would you want to love somebody that is dying.”  Noah says to  her because “ you are my person, you are the most  amazing thing that has entered my life and I don’t want to lose that’’. , “I don’t.’’ Noah says. and in that moment Ivy knew she had found the one; the one that will love her endlessly no matter what happens.  As she got in the truck she couldn’t stop thinking about what Noah said to her earlier.  it was a very quiet car ride back home, when they arrived to Ivy’s house Noah grabbed her hand and told her “ I know what I said earlier was a lot but I know that I do love you and I don’t want anything to happen to you.’’ She looks at him and says “ yes that was a lot,  but I love you too and I know that I should of told you about my heart problems I just didn’t have the courage to tell you because I didn’t know how you would react.’’  I didn’t want you to leave me because you are the first person to ever see me for me;  I didn’t want that to go away when I told you that I have a medical issue and that I could die any minute. I just wanted to live life and not think about how I might die at any given moment in my life.                                                                                        

       The next day Noah went over to see Ivy and to see if she was doing okay, As Noah is making breakfast for Ivy he calls out her name “ Ivy, Ivy come down breakfast is ready.’’ As Noah waits for Ivy he gets a funny feeling something is not okay. He goes to see what is wrong with Ivy, Noah bursts through Ivy's door to her room and sees her unconscious on the floor. Noah panicked and didn’t know what to do at that moment so he picked her up and put her in the truck. He headed to the hospital. As they get to hospital Noah runs inside and tells one of the nurses that he needs help, his girlfriend is unconscious and that she has a heart problem. As the nurses run to the truck Noah moves out of the way and has a frightened look on his face, the nurses take Ivy to a room and start to resuscitate her. This went on for a few minutes and finally they were able to bring her back. The following day Ivy wakes up and she sees that she is at the hospital and she sees Noah asleep in the chair next to her.  she calls his name “ Noah, Noah what happened?’’ Ivy asked. Noah tells her that he went to see her and was making her breakfast and when he called out her name she didn’t answer  when all of a sudden  he got an unsettling feeling something was wrong he went to check on her and she was unconscious on the floor and that he took her to the hospital. When Noah is done telling Ivy what had happened Ivy looks at him and says “ I’m so sorry for putting you in that situation, I wasn’t  feeling good yesterday and  I was trying to find my pills when out of nowhere everything went black.’’ ' You don’t have to apologize to me for something you can’t control,’’ Noah says. Later that day the doctor comes to see Ivy to check and see how she is doing; he tells her he wants to talk to her about her heart disease.  As the doctor is telling Ivy she only has a few more months to live because her disease has gotten worse and there is nothing they can do anymore to try and stop the disease from spreading all over her heart. All she can think about was how she was going to shatter Noah's heart when she tells him that she only has a few more months to live and there is nothing they can do anymore to help her. 

       Noah gets back to the room and as he is walking in he can hear Ivy crying her eyes out. So he rushes over to her side and asks her what is wrong,she looks at him and tells him he should sit and just listen. Noah looks at her and is confused about what is going on.  Ivy says to Noah “ I love you and you were the best thing that has ever entered my life, ever since I was little I have always dreamed of finding the one for me and as I lay her in my deathbed I realize that I have finally found the person I could love for the rest of my life.’’ Noah says to her “ why are you talking like this?’’ “why are you talking like you are leaving me?’’ Noah asks. “Because I am’’ Ivy says. I only have a few months left, she said.  How do you know that? Noah says. “because the doctor just told me a few moments ago before you walked in’’ she says. 

        As the months go by Noah tries his best to make sure that Ivy has the best last few months before her journey of life ends. As Ivy gets worse Noah tries to stay strong but it feels impossible for him to do that because the love of his life is dying slowly in front of him and there is nothing he can do to take away her pain and misery. Ivy sees that Noah is exhausted and is trying his hardest to make it seem like he is okay. But Ivy can see right through him, she knows it's time for her to set him free from all the sadness and exhaustion she has put him through. That night Ivy asked Noah if he would please come lay with her. That was the first time in a long time that Noah has laid next to Ivy since she told him she only had a few months to live. He was always scared he might wake up one day and see that she was  gone so he decided that for a few days  he needed some space to wrap his head around everything. But as the days turned into months Ivy knew she didn’t have that much time left because she could feel herself fading away. 

     As Noah laid next to her all he could think about was how much he is going to miss her and much he will miss all the laughing the jokes and going on late night car rides with her. Ivy turned around and faced Noah as she looked into his eyes she could see the pain and how tired he was. She gave him a hug and a kiss and told him she appreciated all he has done for her. Noah grabs her and holds onto her tight. He couldn't help but cry and tell her that if he could take away her pain he would and that he is not ready for her to go because doesn’t know what he would do when she is gone. Ivy holds  him in her arms one last time before she goes as she rubs her fingers through his hair she tells him “ everything is going to be just fine, close your eyes and think of that one special moment we had she says I want you to always think of that moment whenever you miss me.’’ As Noah lays there in her arms she closes her eyes one last time as a single teardrop falls from her eye she fades away into the light.
