In the midst of the rich, evergreen jungle of Torazon, there was a young vain prince from a noble tiger family. One day, while chowing down on the choicest, most succulent meats, as he felt he deserved, he accidentally ate a leaf of Datrusiva, plant that made him hallucinate. When he was drinking water from the serene river, he did not notice a small lizard coming next to him for a drink.

Because of his hallucination, the tiger prince believed it was a giant monitor lizard trying to attack in the reflection of the river. Heroically, however, the prince’s reflection seemed to protect him by pouncing and attacking the lizard! Swooning, the prince thought it had to be a mystical being that had taken the form of a tiger and taken an interest in him.

Right then and there, the prince fell madly in love with the “mystical being.” The very next day, he came back, but he couldn't find his love anywhere. He even stuck his head under the water to find her. All he saw was his reflection and fish swimming around.

He came to a sobering realization eating Datrusiva had to be the only way to reconnect with his love. He cast about for a few leaves, and after a bite, he saw a flash of a light and his love, appearing across from him! He visualized her in a golden beam of sunlight shining upon her light caramel orange fur. Could anything be as beautiful as her?

From then on, he would bring her gifts and plummet them into the dark depths of the river, thinking only of what his love would enjoy. He brought gifts of all sorts, striving to impress her. He brought fruits like oranges, mangoes, papayas, and star fruit. When it rained, he brought an item only accessible to him, a rabbit still covered in blood. Once he pushed it into the river, the mouth of the river turned red and the rain created swirls in the blood. He thought it was his beau’s sign of love, melting into a heart shaped in alluring red.

Only focused on his love, the prince did not know the serious situation he caused. One day, the animals in the jungle rebelled against the tiger family. Since all the valuable resources were gone, fed to his reflection, they needed a good, substantial leader not a tyrant king. The animals pushed all the tiger family back to their precious estate except the prince. After realizing his circumstances, the prince had bolted to his irreplaceable exquisite river where his love awaited.

There, he said his final goodbye and plunged himself into the river to be reunited with his love.

After this incident, the animals held an election and voted for the lion family to be their new leader and protector. The land was renamed as Pride Land, and no one ventured near the river, for legend said on rainy nights, you could still hear the tiger prince roar.
