A million miles away
I gazed out the window, a million miles away; to the place you are. A million miles away we're together, gazing into each others' eyes, the world passing in a blur. Your smile is a flame under my laughter; my laughter a flame to your smile. We are together and nothing can stop us, love driving us to the extent of the world.
50 years later I see us in rocking chairs, on a porch overlooking the ocean; watching out kids and grandchildren at a fourth of July barbecue. The love between us is stronger than ever, your hand in mine a reminder of all we shared.
That brings us to today, where I am staring out my window, dreaming of you. I have not met you. I don't know your name. But I know that you, my prince charming, really are out there somewhere.
And true love does exist, I proved it right here.
