The Colors of My Love Life
Pink is the color of my cheeks after Jake kissed me.
Orange is the color of his shirt after I spilled orange soda on him during our first date.
Red is the color of the rose I found in my locker on Valentine’s day.
Green is the color of our faces after we rode the triple loop coaster at the boardwalk.
Yellow is the color of the sand I dug my toes into after Jake told me he loved me.
Black is the color of the ink Jake used to write me a love letter.
White is the color of the clouds we watched all day during the spring.
Purple is the color of the velvet in my prom dress.
Blue is the color of my engagement ring that I got on prom night.
Brown is the color of his eyes that I now gaze into each morning.
These colors I will remember forever, because these are the colors that helped me find my true love.
