Forbidden Love
He had one hand on my cheek and the other on the back of my head, kissing me so passionately it was hard to breathe but impossible to stop. He moved his mouth down the side of my neck. I felt as his hands went lower and lower. Now at my back, and down to my waist, slowly sneaking there way to the bottom of my shirt. Carefully he started to slip my shirt up little by little.
“Jaden! The bell rang! Get up or we’re going to be late!”
I lifted my head up slowly to see Kacey standing in front of me. “I won’t forgive you for waking me up. I don’t care if you’re my friend.”
“You’ll get over it.”
“No, I don’t think I will.”
“Hmm, what could you have been dreaming about? Could it possibly be, Declan?”
Kacey broke out in laughter. “You know when you dream in class you should first make sure you don’t talk in your sleep.” My cheeks turned bright red, what all could I have said?
As me and Kacey were walking down the hall I spotted some baby blue eyes looking straight at me. Declan was walking my way. My heart started to pound and I felt my whole body get hot. It’s rare that we get to see each other so early in the morning. I put on my best smile and head over to him.
“Hey Declan.” “Hey, what’s up?”
“Nothing really, just walking to class.”
“Cool, it’s weird we don’t normally see each other in the morning.”
“Yeah, that is weird. So hey I was wondering if you’d…”
Before I could even finish my sentence Danielle popped out of nowhere. When Declan noticed her he quickly turned toward her and gave her a hug and a kiss. When he turned back to me he wouldn’t make eye contact. I decided to ignore it.
“Hey Danielle.”
“Hey, what are ya doing down here? You never go down this hallway this early in the morning.”
“It’s faster this way so I thought I’d try it.”
“Oh, well did you hear what Declan got me?”
She extended her hand toward me. On her wrist was a beautiful charm bracelet.
“Isn’t it amazing?”
“Yeah…it is…I’ve got to get to class.”
I looked up from Danielle’s wrist to sneak a last glance at Declan but he was staring at the floor. At first my day had started out great but now it was just going downhill fast.
Later on at lunch instead of sitting with Danielle and Declan I went to sit outside. No one really ever came out here. It was just a nice place to sit and think. I had a lot to think about. The only thing that came to my mind was Declan though. I knew it was wrong that I liked him, but I couldn’t help it. There was something between us that I couldn’t explain. He makes my heart pound and my whole body feels hot. I feel safe and comfortable around him, like I can be myself. That’s when it hit me.
I love him…
I love Declan…
I love my best friend’s boyfriend…
