Burnt Promises
Tears pour down my hollow cheeks as I search for him. His body, his heart, anything of his. I claw through the ruble, the pile of destroyed promises that were once our home. It is nothing anymore, just burnt ruble of our lost future.
The firemen try to pull me away, but I refuse to go with them. I must find him before it is too late. But I already know that it is too late, for nothing survived. Nothing in our home survived, he included. My true love, ripped away from me in a fire that I only wish had taken me too.
