Fish Out Of Water
I was swimming aimlessly in the depths of the ocean when I heard a distant hum. It was you, singing your seafaring song on the beach, in a luring drone that stirs the still tides. I was supposed to swim the other direction, lest it bring me the trouble of confronting the treacherous waves. God knows where it’ll take me. I was afraid but i went with the flow, risking my life just to catch another earful of the mystic tune. The waves guided me to you. I’ve been ashore for two days now and I’m still alive. Tantalized, breathing to the rhythm of your song. I feel the sun beating down on my slippery scales as I wished to give up my life of exploring the beautiful ocean and be human so as to be able to follow your voice on land.
