Log #315 - Last resort
Into the deep further than anyone else has gone
Hoping there aren't any troubles as the ship moves along
Following this path approved by all my math
Waiting to reach humanity's last chance
Watching as I start to approach this giant black abyss
All the stars disappear as the cosmic lights dismiss
The message says good luck to me, as if I had a chance
As I pass the event horizon and know there's no way back
Watching the ship spin with me round and round again
I hear the sirens fading as the ship begins to end
I look back up into the sky seeing nothing but black depth
Hoping that there is a God and this isn’t my last breath.
