A day down the river
Canoeing down the river and the wind whirling in her hair, she looked up in the sky. She tapped him on the shoulder and pointed to the sky saying nothing because she was breathing to fast to say anything. Suddenly the roar of the water became louder and the water moving faster.
Grabbing the paddle tighter in her hands, rowing to avoid the rapids. The blisters on her hands burning in protest. She was tired but not enough to give up now. Suddenly a giant wave pounded by leaving them in a clearing. The sun was just breaking through the clouds. She breathed in fresh air and smiled, ”We did it.”
