Authors Beware
Greetings, readers!
Wait, that's not what you were expecting? Well, sorry to disappoint. Let me ask you a question: why can't the author talk in a story?
Well, I'll tell you why. But if I mysteriously disappear from the face of the earth, you know this is why. So listen very, very carefully to everything I have to say. It may save your life.
To on degree or another, every person has been born with a gift for story-telling. Don't start asking questions yet! I've barely begun the story!
With some people though, this gift is extraordinary. It is very rare, mind you, but I have seen it happen. My good friend is now gone. What I am telling you, might I remind the audience, may still kill me - or worse. Just remember that it is all your fault.
When they write, their mind reaches off to another reality - where neither time nor space has begun to exist yet. They use parts of the mind unknown to everyone that takes the life that has yet to be and makes enough changes in that different reality in order for it to follow their writing or their story.
These realities aren't meant to be. They were never meant to happen, but some people force it into existence, and this will create holes that will bleed different realities together. My good friend had this happen to her.
She had the innate gift of altering different realities. Without a speck of knowledge about this, she wrote and wrote and wrote until her entire life was enveloped in it. One day, she wrote herself into the different reality and created a hole.
That hole dragged her into her own story. With the necessity for balance, someone from the other side was brought into this world, and that is me. It's a gift, in a sense, to the rest of you writers and storytellers.
I am here to warn you.
Do not add yourself to your fiction. You cannot possibly know if you are gifted and you must be careful, for your own lives and for the lives of those you may control in your "fairy tales." They are living beings who have goals and hopes and dreams. Respect them and make every moment that they have count.
If you don't, you'll never know what just might happen. Who knows? Maybe I have the gift and I'll disappear into yet again another reality. Be very, very careful.
