INT. HIGH SCHOOL LARGE GROUP- MORNING

The room was full of football players and the smell of fresh donuts and chocolate milk filled the room.

COACH (Derrick Uhl), 30, Tall, Curly hair, Kakis, Big guy.

COACH
Why are you late?

BRODY, 17, medium height, blonde hair, sweatpants and hoodie

BRODY

My alarm didn’t go off.

COACH

Okay, sit down and watch film.

BRODY sits down in front row and puts feet on desk and leans back in chair

ANGEL short, mexican, dark brown hair that flows to the side

ANGEL (WHISPERS)

Yo, there’s a party tonight

BRODY

Where at?

ANGEL

Somewhere in Purdy.

BRODY

How far of a drive is that?
ANGEL

It’s only 30 minutes away. 20 if you drive.

BRODY

Yeah, but I can’t drive. I don’t have enough room in my car.

ANGEL

That’s fine I’ll drive.

COACH UHL (Heavily)

Hey guys we need to pay attention, we have a big game tomorrow. We need to be focused or This team will beat us.

BRODY & ANGEL sit back down and began to study the scouting report quietly

DISSOLVE TO:

INT. BRODY’S HOUSE, IN THE COUNTRY, LATE AFTERNOON

The boys are sitting on Brody’s bed playing PlayStation surrounded by the lime green walls and american flags and wrestling medals that hang from the walls.

ANGEL

So you’re down to go to that party tonight?

BRODY
Yeah, my dad left for Iowa to go hunting when we were at film so we can come back here and crash.

ANGEL

Wait, your dad left?

BRODY

Yeah I just said that why?

ANGEL

He took his truck?

BRODY

Yes, why? What are you thinking?

ANGEL

Did he leave the car keys here?

BRODY

He usually takes them but we can look.

Both boys stand up and throw controller on bed and walk out of the room.

DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. GARAGE, CONTINUOUS

BRODY opens the garage door and reveals the red and black 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06  

ANGEL(IN AMAZE)

It’s so freaking sexy.

Brody opens the driver door and sits in the car looking for the keys.

ANGEL

Are they in there?

(Car starts very loudly)

ANGEL runs to the passenger side and get into the vehicle.

BRODY

I can’t believe he left them

ANGEL

Let’s drive it around

BRODY backs out of the garage and gets on the road

BRODY

Driving this car scares me to death

ANGEL

Why? It’s such a nice car

BRODY

That’s exactly why, if anything happened to this while I am driving it my dad would have me crucified.

ANGEL

Nothing is going to happen to it, you should take it to the party tonight.

BRODY(ABRUPTLY)

What!? That would the worst place to take it. Plus I thought you were driving.

ANGEL

I can but just think about all the chicks we could get if we took this.

BRODY

True, but I don’t wanna drive though.

ANGEL

I mean… I’ll drive this car

BRODY laughs sarcastically

BRODY

Nevermind, I’ll drive.

FADE OUT:

INT. ANGEL’S HOUSE, MIDDLE OF THE CITY, 10 P.M. NIGHT

ANGEL & BRODY take showers and are getting dressed for the party.

BRODY is sitting on the bed waiting for angel to get ready

(WOOD FLOOR SQUEAKS AS ANGEL WALK INTO THE ROOM)

BRODY

Geez, hurry up, you take longer than a girl to get ready

ANGEL

I’m almost ready, go get the car started and I’ll be right out.

BRODY

If I’m out you take longer than 3 minutes I’m leaving you.

DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. OUTSIDE ANGEL'S HOUSE, CONTINUOUS

BRODY walks out of the house and starts the car and shuffles through songs while he is waiting.

ANGEL walks out of the house and turns around and locks the door. Then enters the vehicle

BRODY
What did you do?

ANGEL holds out open hand with 3 white pills resting in his palm.

ANGEL

Take these

BRODY

What are those?

ANGEL

Just take them, they will mellow you out so you’re not so paranoid about the car.

BRODY takes the pills from angels hand and throws all 3 in his mouth and swallows them dry with no water.

ANGEL(YELLS)

Brody!!!

BRODY(YELLS)

What?

ANGEL

I didn’t mean all 3 of them, you were suppose to take one and I was going to take two since I’m not driving.

BRODY

Well you could’ve told me that before you handed me all three of them.

ANGEL

Oh well, that just means I can drink now.

DISSOLVE TO:

INT. PARTY HOUSE, NIGHT

The boys get out of the car and walk to the big house with the music so loud they could feel it. Everybody was already outside watching us walk up to the house.

Voice(YELLS)
Brody!
ISSAC, 18, blonde, tall, scrawny, wearing jeans and a nice shirt

ISSAC

It’s about time you showed up!

BRODY

Sorry Angel took forever to get ready

ISSAC

Come be my pong partner

BRODY & ISSAC walk into the other room with a big ping pong table in the middle and speakers around the whole room playing music.

ANGEL stays and talks to girls

ISSAC(ANNOUNCES)

Me and Brody have next game

ISSAC

You want a beer Brody?

BRODY

No, I have to drive home and Angel gave me some pills so even if I wasn't driving I can't drink

ISSAC

What kind of pills did he give you?

BRODY

I have no idea i’ve been feeling really mellow ever since I got here though.

ISSAC walks over to the empty table and starts setting the cups up into a triangle

ISSAC

You know how to play right?

BRODY

Yes, this isn’t my first rodeo.

(ISSAC hands Brody a ping pong ball)

ISSAC

You’re up first

ANGEL walks into the room with a bottle of raspberry vodka and 2 girl of each side of him. Angel watches the game as him and the girls take shot after shot.

DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. PARTY HOUSE, 11:30 P.M.

After many games of pong the party is getting out of hand, people are outside running around, fighting, yelling.

BRODY walks outside to find angel

BRODY(YELLS)
Angel… it’s time to go!

(NO REPLY)

BRODY(YELLS)
Angel!

ISSAC(YELLS)

Everybody cops are coming!

Everybody runs to their cars panicking and yelling

BRODY runs back inside one last time to look for angel

BRODY(YELLS)

Angel! The cops are coming we need to go!

(NO REPLY)

BRODY runs back outside with cop lights lighting up the entire road, he runs to his car and quickly opens the door to find angel in the driver seat and a girl he didn’t recognize in the passenger seat passed out. He runs over to the other side of the car and picks the girl up and lays her on top of somebody car parked next to him. He then runs back around to the driver's side and throws angel into the passenger seat and starts the car.

BRODY backs out of the parking spot and starts driving away

COP pulls behind the car and starts following them

ANGEL wakes up confused

ANGEL

Where are we?

BRODY

Dude, the party got busted there is a cop following me

ANGEL falls back asleep ignoring everything Brody said.

Brody gets on the highway and goes as fast as the car will take him. Already going 150 MPH he doesn't let off the gas.

The cop starts to fall behind

Brody looks down one last time to read “201 MPH” on the speedometer. Then everything goes black.

CUT TO:

INT. BRODY’S ROOM, 8 A.M.

BRODY wakes up dazed and confused

ANGEL Is rolled up in the blankets sleeping

BRODY instantly runs out to the garage and checks on the car.

There isn’t a flaw on it, almost as if they never took it.

BRODY walks back inside to his room and sees angel sitting up on his phone

ANGEL looks at Brody

ANGEL

We should’ve went to that party last night.
