Chapter 1
Jojo entered the Marrol family house at around 8:00 pm. She has been a family friend and has known Jenna since kindergarten, so Ms. Marrol gave her a key to the house years ago.
“Hey Jenna, I’m here! I brought the blue shoes you wanted. Ready to go?”
There was no response. She could hear music coming from upstairs. Guessing that it was originating from Jenna’s room, she headed upstairs. As she opened the pink bedroom door, she never imagined what she was about to see.
“Please help me.”
Jenna was lying on the floor, half dressed for the party, with her arms bruised and her white blouse stained red.
