Bravery
There is always a time in everyone's life when everything changes. Some come early, some come late. Mine was when I was six years old. I was finally starting to understand you. How cruel things you said could make me crumble. Like a cookie being broken in pieces one by one, taking time and no way to fix it. You would lie and cheat. You would punch and hurt me. I was afraid of you and I finally understood the meaning of fear. When you cant breath correctly in front of this... thing. your legs want to give out from underneath you, your ankles get weak. But you know you cant let yourself fall, if you do, your done. You loose. you have stopped fighting. you never stop fighting, not even for a second. when I was ten years old, I stood up to you. I told you I couldn't and wouldn't take your cruel, deep, hard punches, stares, and words any longer. I told you, that you were no longer my father and you never really where. that was the year I discovered the meaning of bravery. I knew that I was brave.

This is a story that did happen to me. I wanted to share it to let other people that have gone through hard times, when they feel helpless, that you can do something even if no one else is on your side. You are not alone. And to always be brave.
