Regret
What if you could turn back time?
Pretend you never said that line?
Everyone always feels pain,
But I never feel any gain.
Gaining secrets; feeling proud,
But never say them aloud.
They cause you worry, cause you pain,
Somehow I always get the blame.
Blamed for the rumours spread,
They always get to your head,
End up believing them and then you see
Who I was really meant to be.
Supposed to be with her not them,
They cause too much mayhem,
But you’ve realised far too late,
That I caused her so much hate.
Change is always hated,
Feel like your heart is weighted,
An endless struggling climb,
To fix this could take more than time.
So what if you could turn back time?
And pretend you never said that line?
Do you regret what you did?
Or think you should have hid?
