She’s lost, but she doesn’t want to be found
She will push you away,
To avoid becoming unwound.
The forced smiles, and the cheery replies
Mean nothing, if you’d
Only search for the hurting
In her eyes.
She’s dying to tell someone,
But she’s learned
It’s better to remain silent,
Rather than utter an honest word.
Because she’s lost, but she doesn’t want to be found.
She will push you away,
To avoid becoming unwound...
