Stand Up
Do you ever think about what you say?
To the girl who sits at lunch alone?
Has the thought ever occurred that the boy you call gay,
Gets abused and has it rough at home?
Do you just sit by and watch on the sidelines?
While that girl is tormented about her clothes?
Well, they make faces and point the loser sign,
They have no clue she's anorexic, she keeps it concealed so nobody knows.
There's so many problems that teenagers face,
And only a selected a few are willing to speak up.
Don't hide in the shadows and watch the helpless feel useless...
Stand up,
Lend a hand,
Be a hero.
Watch as the bullies step down dramatically.
Whether you stand alone or stand together,
Just remember one person can make a difference.
You're not alone,
Let your voice be heard.
Stand up,
And be a hero.
Do you ever get bored?
Of shoving that innocent boy into the locker?
Why do you write such nasty notes that strike like a sword?
To that quiet girl, she reads them and inside it kills her.
Do you look away as that boy's punched in the face?
For defending himself and his rights.
They steal his money to fill up their hearts' empty space,
Not contemplating the poor boy's abusive father, who at any moment tries to start a fight.
There's so many problems that teenagers face,
And only a selected a few are willing to speak up.
Don't hide in the shadows and watch the helpless feel useless...
Stand up,
Lend a hand,
Be a hero.
Watch as the bullies step down dramatically.
Whether you stand alone or stand together,
Just remember one person can make a difference.
You're not alone,
Let your voice be heard.
Stand up,
And be a hero.
Don't speak with hate,
Discrimination can cause the slice.
One rude comment shouldn't determine a kid's fate,
A guilty conscience is how you'll pay the price.
Extend your hand out to all the ones who are suffering on the floor,
Be there for them, prove to them they're not alone.
'Cause their life is meant for so much more,
Don't let it end because of one remark, stand strong as a stone.
Stand up,
Lend a hand,
Be a hero.
Watch as the bullies step down dramatically.
Whether you stand alone or stand together,
Just remember one person can make a difference.
You're not alone,
Let your voice be heard.
Stand up,
And be a hero.
Stand up,
Show support,
Be a hero,
Not a bully.
