“Waterboy,” written by Maddie K., talks about how kids can overcome anything they put their minds too. Reading this her writing made me feel joyful. The author writes, “I was in the Yellow Light Club and I hated it.” Reading this article the words have a very powerful meaning especially to young kids dealing with being doubted in school. Despite being pushed around by his older brother and mom, also being doubted by his own reading teacher. I was so moved by how he kept going on and being determentined to not ler anything stop him. One day he had found somehthing that he knew was a great idea and he stuck to the idea. He had one goal he wanted to pass and he did just that. The author writes, “I’m not interested in girls. Pitch me somethingn else.” Around the world millions of kids suffer from being pulled down and being bullied for being “less” than what other kids show. Reading this article could really open people’s eyes and show that words have a big inpact and in this article no matter how many times he got knocked down he got up ten times harder and strived to be his own greatness.
