“Brace Face,” written by Julia McDonnell,  talks about having braces. Her writing left me feeling impressed. When the author said, “After withstanding three rounds of braces,” I was impressed that her teeth survived three rounds of braces.” I felt sympathetic towards her because I have braces and I know how bad they can be once. I disagreed with her when she wrote, “When you’re told that you’re getting braces, the sheer idea is elicit joy.” I was not happy when I got my braces because I was told by my sister, who already had braces, they they would hurt my teeth terribly. I can also relate to her when she said, “The elastic hooks… will start digging into the flesh of your mouth,” because they will and it hurts really bad.
