Sights from Another World
I found Hatty L.'s article, "Sights from Another World," extremely moving. She sheds light onto the poverty-stricken rural communities in China. It saddens me to know that there are a forgotten group of human beings living in disgusting conditions in a prosperous country. While the increasing urban society is glamorized and praised, rural villages are overlooked and ultimately neglected. The article not only makes me appreciate things in my life but also forces me to question, is there nothing that can be done to help?
