Dear Diabetes
Dear Kelly,
Your article was very heartfelt, humorous, and unique. I mean, how did you ever think of writing to a disease? And the ending...how ironic! Your diabetes was just a medical issue to you throughout the entire piece until those last few words where you thank it for making you "stronger and more resilient". I laughed in my head every time you made a sarcastic remark about yourself, like "yes, I am a secret old fat person." Kelley, you are a wonderful writer, and that makes up for your diabetes. Who cares if you have red hair, too? Many people dye their hair red for it to look like yours. keep up the good work!
