My Last Visit
In the article "My Last Visit" by Kori Evans, it is about a girl who looks back at a visit to jail. It wasn't the girl who did something wrong, though-it was her father. She speaks of how it was the last time she would ever be there, since the jail made her feel ashamed of her father.
Though Kori didn't say why the father was in jail, this only makes the reader feel more interested in the story. The details are extremely vivid, such as " Later we stumbled out of that dark, stuffy vehicle and into the blinding Arizona sunshine." I believe Kori did a wonderful job portraying how it feels to visit a jail.
