Turkey Tradition

I could relate to Christopher Cosmas’ piece “Turkey Tradition,” and thought that the author did a very good job showing emotion in the story. This piece is about a boy who has moved to California and was very sad and angry about the move. Christopher and his brothers went turkey hunting on Thanksgiving, and during the hunt Christopher works through his feelings about the move. By the end of the piece.
This story is easy for me to relate to because I too go turkey hunting on Thanksgiving with my family and extended family. Cosmas writes “After twenty minutes if creeping through the trees with no sign of turkeys, by that time my brothers started firing shots at the trunks.” This is the same experience that has happened to me. After about half an hour without seeing any sign of turkeys, the boys always start shooting at trees! this is a really nice article about a boy and his brothers going turkey hunting.
