My First Track Meet
The article of “My First Track Meet” related to me in so many ways. When I had my first track meet I felt the same feelings she was feeling at the time. I loved the descriptiveness of all the emotion she was feeling. It made me feel nervous for her; it was like I was in her situation. The article reminded me of all the thoughts I had during my first track meet. All the negative thoughts that went through her head were exactly went I was feeling. The feeling she had before the race made the readers feel exactly what it is like to be so nervous and to over-think things. The article made me feel all the pressure she had. Further into the article, it made me wonder more and more about how much pressure is going too build up and if all the pressure is going to effect how she races or even strong enough to make her end up quitting to erase all the pressure. When she finally started the race and all her nerves went away reminded me about how all the thoughts and nerves go away once the race starts. “My First Track Meet” made me reminisce all the pressure you feel before a track meet or any sports event.
