Feedback on Deck the Malls
Anna S.'s Deck the Malls speaks the truth and nothing but the truth. The piece is worded beautifully. I can really smell the sarcasm. Her writing shoots down the idea of Black Friday in a funny and likable way. She handles a huge industry with undeniable charm. I have to say, Anna S. is my hero of the shopping season.
My family has never been one to shop on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. We always stayed home and operated like normal. We celebrated with family, had dinner, went home and slept. We couldn't fathom how ridiculous event was. Sparks writes, "...I "accidentally" took her shopping cart instead of my own empty one." Her experience shows that even the best people can become monsters for nothing but a bargain.
