I wholeheartedly agree with Amita in her article "Autism is not a tragedy". I have a little cousin who also has autism, and I can constantly see in his family that they love, and adore him. He is actually very intelligent and knows a lot about technology. But othe people see him as someone not capable of of anything, as someone that will not go anywhere. All of our family believe in him and know he will be someone great. When Amita says "curing my brothers autism would be like taking away what makes him unique, and our world needs many different types of minds" this made me feel very happy and gave me hope for my little cousin.
